Technical Writer & Editorial Communications Lead
for a globally recognized research institute at the forefront of artificial intelligence research and policy. This is a fully remote opportunity, open worldwide, with occasional travel required for team retreats and conferences.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven
Technical Writer & Editorial Lead
to translate cutting-edge technical research into engaging, accessible content for policymakers, journalists, and global public audiences. This individual will lead editorial strategy, refine research into polished publications, and expand the organization's reach through digital and media platforms.

Editorial & Research Translation : Edit and transform technical research into blogs, newsletters, reports, and other publications that are clear, compelling, and accessible. Content Strategy : Develop and oversee content pipelines, style guidelines, and publishing standards. Digital Presence : Manage and grow visibility across websites, SEO efforts, and social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.). Multimedia Communications : Support podcasts, video content, and other storytelling formats. Media & Partnerships : Build relationships with journalists, pitch research findings, and track media engagement. Public Engagement : Support organizational leadership in public appearances and responses to communications needs. Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to
translate technical research
into content for non-technical audiences. 5+ years of experience in
technical writing, editorial leadership, or communications , ideally in research, technology, or policy organizations. Familiarity with
AI governance, technology policy, or scientific communication . Strong track record in content creation, digital communications, and strategy. Skilled in CMS tools, SEO, analytics, and social media management. Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills with attention to detail. Highly organized and comfortable working remotely with a global team. Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary range:
