Responsibilities

Performs a variety of service related activities in support of the Patient Transportation Program. Duties may include the daily upkeep and maintenance of unit, supplies, patient transportation, patient lifts and other patient care activities. May relieve transportation dispatcher during breaks/lunch and APL days. Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, behavioral health, social services or a related field preferred. Medical terminology helpful but not required. Reading and writing skills at 10th grade level. Basic math skills and good verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Ability to accept and follow direction. Ability to make sound decisions quickly and logically. Ability to cope with the physical and mental demands of a dynamic environment. Ability to calmly deal with people in emergent situations. Ability to work well in a fast paced, multiple activity environment. Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Ability to work in a self-directed manner. Ability to maintain excellent rapport with public and co-workers. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrated ability to understand and use good body mechanics. Licensure

Health Care provider level BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required prior to start. Pay Range
