An employer is looking for a Patient Access Rep to cover a maternity leave in the Pasadena, CA area. This person will be responsible for interfacing with patients, physician offices, and various departments for scheduling, pre-reg, collection and registration. This person will gather data to ensure proper demographics and insurance information for the financial record. Some duties include scheduling recurring appointments for rehabilitation therapies, processing referrals, insurance verifications, validating authorizations, calling health plans/medical groups to ensure care is authorized as needed, and informing patient of their financial liabilities due for services and collecting any balances. The hours of the clinic are from 7am-7:30pm. This individual must have a flexible schedule to work different shifts - likely 9:30am-6pm a few days and 11-7:30pm some other days.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience scheduling within EPIC - Experience scheduling OT, PT, and Speech Therapy appointments - Experience with Optum Medical Group Plans
