Insight Global is hiring Data Engineers for a contract opportunity supporting our largest financial client in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Although all-star candidates may have remote consideration, there is a strong preference is to have these individuals' hybrid onsite in Cincinnati at their downtown location.
These Data Engineers will be integral to the migration & modernization efforts from the company's legacy DB2 systems to Snowflake data warehouse to be ingested by the new digital banking solution.
Primary Responsibilities: • Collaborate with architects and analysts to understand data requirements for the digital banking solution integration • Extract and transform data from DB2 systems running on AIX • Load and model data in Snowflake, ensuring it aligns with the solution's consumption patterns. • Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures in Snowflake. • Support the development of data services/APIs that expose Snowflake data to the banking solution. • Perform data validation and reconciliation between DB2 and Snowflake. • Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs and system-level issues on AIX/Linux servers. • Document data flows, transformation logic, and system interactions. • Integrating the core-banking APIs with out-of-the-box APIs

Required Skills & Experience - Min 5+ years of experience within data engineering supporting large data migrations - DB2 AND Oracle DB - Snowflake Data Warehouse - AIX & Linux - API/Data Service Integration
Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Familiarity with Backbase (+++) or similar digital banking platforms • Kafka or other streaming platforms (for real-time data delivery) • CI/CD and DevOps practices for deploying data pipelines and APIs • Domain infrastructure with BFF layers moving data from on-prem to a cloud provider • Exposure to SnowSQL CLI, Python, or Java for scripting and automation • Python or Scala for custom data processing • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
