Principal/Senior Consultant - Risk and Compliance ServiceNow Specialist

$130,000/yr - $234,000/yr About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect, preferably with extensive knowledge of the IRM (Integrated Risk Management) module and strong experience in the financial services industry. The individual will lead, plan, optimize and deliver ServiceNow GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) related solutions and projects. You will be fluent in ServiceNow, enabling you to lead the team and stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions that leverage industry processes and best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in regulatory compliance, operational risk, and third?party risk, along with a solid understanding of financial regulations. Responsibilities Lead stakeholder workshops to gather and interpret risk and compliance requirements specific to banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech operations. Architect and configure ServiceNow IRM modules (Policy and Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Management, Vendor Risk Management) aligned with industry regulations and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT). Partner with governance, audit, compliance, and IT security teams to build automated workflows that monitor control effectiveness and regulatory adherence. Define and implement GRC dashboards and reporting tailored to financial regulatory reporting and executive oversight. Collaborate with platform developers to implement custom solutions where out?of?the?box functionality is insufficient. Train users and stakeholders in IRM functionality and best practices within the financial services context. Stay updated on regulatory changes (e.g., OCC, FDIC, CFPB) and translate them into actionable ServiceNow enhancements. Leverage GRC/IRM knowledge to drive solutions across the platform. Support project scoping and proposal development, guiding the implementation and advising on viable technical solution options throughout the project lifecycle. Craft and deliver workshop materials, contribute to solution implementation, and drive the completion of key project deliverables. Help create new practice solutions and offerings; contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of capabilities. Lead efforts in requirements gathering and documenting process workflows; translate requirements and mockups into fully functional IRM features. All other duties as assigned or directed.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain proficient knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and products through webinars, case studies, training, and other available resources. Participate in pre?sales activities, crafting proposals and presenting ServiceNow IRM solutions to prospective clients. Educate practice members on ServiceNow IRM modules by providing guidance on solution implementation and facilitating ongoing education and knowledge sharing. Work effectively in a fast?paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing business drivers. Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the team.
Basic Qualifications
B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Strong GRC/IRM technical background 5+ years of ServiceNow experience with a focus on IRM/GRC modules Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements Prior experience as a consultant or client?serving professional Strong understanding of ServiceNow best practices and current features Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical and non?technical audiences Ability to work independently and manage one or more projects Proactive attitude toward learning and continuously enhancing ServiceNow knowledge
