Mobile Dispatcher
The Mobile Dispatcher works in a Control Center environment, responding to a variety of customer inquiries and technician requests typically through phone interactions. The Mobile Dispatcher assesses and schedules technician's workload for natural gas and electric service work. The Mobile Dispatcher also monitors and answers radio traffic in order to dispatch service personnel. Assure cost effective use of resources by communicating/coordinating with Distribution Operations Controllers and area Supervisors Manage and modify gas and electric service orders Demonstrate proficiency with the computer software and web applications necessary to conduct daily workflow dispatching processes Perform required shift work to include days, weekends, nights, holidays and call outs Rotating 12 hour shifts that start at 6:00AM and 6:00 PM Work Schedule Posted 6 months in advance Work overtime including evenings and weekends in response to acute service needs Assure positive working relationships with technicians, Controllers, and field crews/management Complete required trainings and monthly meetings Dispatcher calls will be subject to call monitoring with a priority goal of achieving customer satisfaction Work effectively within a team environment and other work groups to accomplish organizational goals Demonstrate strong adherence to accuracy, safe work practices/processes, customer service, and attendance Job time is spent in an office environment mostly sitting or standing, using a computer terminal and phones with limited required walking All NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills High school diploma or equivalent, advanced education is preferred Ability to perform basic math functions Proficient with computers, web applications, and related equipment Excellent communication skills are required Good organizational and technical skills are necessary Ability to plan and prioritize dispatching responsibilities High volume dispatching and customer service experience preferred
