Overview

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Warehouse Associate to work at our location in Waggaman, LA. This position assists with fulfilling and processing orders, shipping, inventory and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Managing shipping tickets
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Pulling orders and prepping for shipment
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience in a similar work environment preferred
• Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed
• Willingness to learn the warehouse products
• Self-motivated
• Punctual and courteous
• Team player mentality a must; communication, collaboration, and motivation to follow through critical
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently without constant supervision

Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Must have good hand/eye coordination
