Job Description:
Perform as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware and software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
Design and develop physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
Design, integrate, and test, wideband and narrowband communication and datalinks
Translate requests of the customer into system level requirements
Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
Perform systems engineering trade studies
Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals
Have experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment
Support project bidding and proposal activities
Willingness and ability to travel 20%
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Security+ Certified
Preferred Additional Skills:
Active Top Secret SCI security clearance
Aircraft optical sensor system integration and ground/flight test support
Experience with obtaining and maintaining a government network ATO (Authorization to Operate)
Networking experience (CCNA certs)
Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying hardware and/or software
Experience developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans in a team environment
