Job Title: Straight Truck Driver

Salary Range: $25.00

FLSA Status: Hourly

Location: Seattle

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles transferring donation containers and/or processed goods in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Drive commercial vehicles to designated locations including, but not limited to, inner city traffic.
  • Drive and maintain company vehicles in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Transport donation containers from ADS site to plant or outside stores.
  • Transport processed goods to outlying stores.
  • Transport waste to transfer station.
  • Pick up special donations and deliver goods as requested.
  • Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; report any potential hazards or accidents.
  • Adhere to Seattle Goodwill and DOT rules and regulations.
  • Perform the functions of production worker when needed.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 2 year driving experience
  • Must be able to pass Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Essential Physical Abilities: Lifting and carrying 30 – 40 pounds; developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers); standing for long periods of time; frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders.
  • Able to travel across a variety of surfaces: stairs, ramps, uneven terrain
  • Essential Mental/Sensory Abilities: Problem Solving; Communicating with the public
  • Working Conditions: Indoor/outdoor working environment, temperature varies, exposure to dust
  • Proficiency with Experience: This job classification requires various levels of proficiency and experience: Skilled (1-3 years) or Expert (exceptional knowledge and skills)
