Job Summary
The CDL Driver will be based out of our local polyurethane foam manufacturing facility.

Minimum Standards for Commercial Vehicle Driver Qualifications
- FMCSR 391.11 (2) - Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
- Driver must have a current-valid driver’s license
- Equipment with GVWR/GCWR of 26,001 lbs or more: Does not require a CDL
- Equipment with GVWR/GCWR of 10,001 lbs to 26,000 lbs: Does not require a CDL
- Driver cannot have alcohol convictions within the previous 10 years (no more than 1 lifetime; none in a CMV)
- Driver cannot have controlled substance convictions within 15 years (no more than 1 lifetime; none in a CMV)
- Cannot have any previous employer positive controlled substance or alcohol test
- Cannot have felonies within previous 15 years (no more than 1 lifetime; none in a CMV)
- Cannot have misdemeanors within previous 5 years
- Excludes moving violations; moving violations subject to Driver Rating System
- Must score an average or better on Driver Rating Point System
- Must successfully complete a driver’s road test examination
- Must complete a pre-employment DOT controlled substance and negative test
- Must have a valid Medical Examination Report (MER)
- A new MER is required for all new hires and is administered by a Corporate Logistics-Compliance approved facility
- Must meet all DOT & Company Policy Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Check delivery schedule and receive assignments from supervisor. (Starting and ending times will vary).
- Operate tractor-trailer to assigned destinations; back trailers into docks or unloading areas as instructed by the customer.
- Unload product as directed.
- Fill out delivery tickets, obtain customer signatures, and perform daily vehicle inspections per DOT regulations; record findings in a log book and report any defects.
- Maintain a driver’s log book as required by DOT regulations (if delivery is over 100 miles).
- Assist in loading and unloading of trailers when needed.
- Maintain complete DOT file; pass a DOT physical prior to hire and annually thereafter.
- Shipping and Receiving Operations; Load outgoing trucks and pull finished goods tags.
- Assist Lead Person with inventory; complete daily forklift inspections and related paperwork.
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid CDL Driver’s License required
Experience
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial vehicle driving experience for long distance, local, and yard positions.
