Overview

Data Analyst role at Chenega MIOS SBU — Huntsville, AL. Data Analyst performs data analysis to support cyber terrain mapping and mission risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct terrain mapping, identify critical assets, and update the Mission Assurance Decision Support System.
• Provide situational awareness and mission analysis, encompassing mission mapping, decomposition, cyberspace terrain mapping, data capture, and iterative assessments.
• Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents, utilizing tools like SIEM.
• Ensure cybersecurity strategies and implementations comply with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as NIST RMF, NIST CSF, IEC 62443, and NERC CIP.
• Develop a knowledge management plan to capture data and deliver business intelligence and data analysis across all functions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, operations, leadership, and external partners, communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in cybersecurity.
• Develop and deliver training programs and contribute to cybersecurity strategies and policies.
• Develop product roadmaps and review work by development teams to ensure proper scope.
• Participate in product and software lifecycles, including backlog refinement, road mapping, release planning, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, IT, or related business programs.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis.
• 3+ years of experience in Python, Power BI, SQL.
• Agile Scrum certifications desired.
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM) desired.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and migrating projects to the cloud.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments and cloud infrastructures.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Understanding of cloud technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with relational databases and BI tools like Power BI or BO; data analysis tools experience.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience extracting, transforming, and structuring data for exploratory analytics and operational reporting.
• Strong creative and visual storytelling skills; ability to deliver information that enables quick understanding and action.
• Knowledge of data management, engineering, and science; strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; collaborative and innovative mindset.
• Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements and to travel up to 10%; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
