Overview
Anaylzes and interprets data related to sales, inventory, and operations planning to support effective decision-making. Ensures the integration of data from multiple sources to improve forecasting accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data related to sales, inventory, demand forecasts, and production schedules to support SIOP processes.
- Assists in developing accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and sales patterns. Identifies discrepancies between actual and forecasted demand and recommends adjustments.
- Monitors inventory levels and analyzes inventory turnover rates to ensure optimal stock levels. Identifies opportunities to reduce excess inventory while preventing stockouts.
- Generates regular reports and dashboards on key performance metrics, such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and service levels. Provides insights and recommendations to improve supply chain performance.
- Works closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on demand and supply plans.
- Identifies areas for improvement in the SIOP process and implements best practices to enhance data accuracy, forecasting, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Ensures the accurate integration of data from various sources, including ERP and supply chain management systems, to support decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with ERP systems and familiarity with SIOP processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to present data insights to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain optimization practices.
- Experience with statistical forecasting and inventory management techniques.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, data analytics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
- Three years of experience in data analysis, demand planning, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
