Overview

Accountant role at DLL in Johnston, Iowa. This position supports financial accounting in accordance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP standards, company policies, and applicable federal reporting requirements. The candidate will collaborate with finance teams and business leaders across the organization and must communicate accounting matters effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the financial accounting team ensuring timely execution of accounting processes in compliance with Company policies, IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and applicable federal reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Lead in researching and resolving discrepancies related to general ledger account reconciliations; recommend and champion process changes to prevent recurring issues.
  • Review accounting tasks with a continuous focus on improving processes and strengthening financial controls.
  • Act as liaison between Accounting and the business, communicating and educating stakeholders.
  • Ensure financial results are presented accurately and timely, with corresponding analytics.
  • Ensure timely and correct execution of accounting activities for vendors and lessees to achieve accurate and up-to-date administration and financial reporting.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong financial systems expertise, including spreadsheets, queries, large-volume data manipulation, reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and time management; self-starter and able to work with teams.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables within agreed timeframes.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with peers, business partners, and upper management.
  • Experience in banking or financial services; leasing experience; IFRS reporting experience; SOX/internal control experience.

  • Salary range: $50,144.00 – $75,216.00 (may vary by location, experience, and qualifications).
