Cobalt Recruitment is hiring: Revenue Accountant in New York

A leading global SaaS company in the digital media space is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its finance team. This is a remote position, with the Revenue Accountant sitting in the eastern timezone.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate executed contracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies, ASC 606/IFRS, GAAP, and industry best practices.
• Confirm accuracy of all documentation required for order submission.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive timely, accurate invoicing and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide responsive support to internal stakeholders and clients regarding invoices, payments, and contract clarifications.
• Partner with Sales Operations to process adjustments or changes, exercising sound judgment on appropriate actions.
• Ensure SLA response times are met for contract approvals, invoicing, and inquiries.
• Manage daily posting of customer payments.
• Support month-end close activities and the annual financial audit.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 1-2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in media.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and ASC 606 revenue recognition, including deferred revenue.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and subscription billing systems.
• Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in issue escalation.
