Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is hiring: Roving Security Guard in Aie

Overview

Roving Security Guard – Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs). Support a government customer at the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility (RHBFSF), Honolulu, Hawai`i. Shifts may include evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Man the assigned Entry Control Points at all times.
• Keep a log of activities for each entry point and conduct identification checks on all visitors.
• Validate visitors against a Government-provided access roster and record entry/exit times.
• Communicate with visitors to facilitate installation mission objectives; direct unlisted individuals to the Security Officer for processing.
• Check in and out with the facility Security Officer or designee.
• Identify and report potentially abnormal activities (trespassing, sabotage, espionage, theft, or damage).
• Complete and submit the Entry Point Activity Log daily; prepare a daily incident report for abnormal incidents.
• QA/QC Access Rosters and checklists daily; attend government meetings; assist project management with administrative duties; incident reporting.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Communication: Able to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Security Registration: Willing and able to obtain a Security Guard Employee Registration (Guard Card).

Skills & Experience

• Physically capable of walking 2–3 miles every four hours over uneven/sloped surfaces; able to stand for up to four hours.
• Must be able to climb an approximately 220’ segmented ladder well to egress the facility.
• Adequate sight (at least 20/40), hearing (including ability to hear a whispered voice from 5 feet), and sense of smell (detect hydrocarbon odors).
• Willing to sign nondisclosure agreements.

Citizenship & Clearance

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 3 Background Investigation and fingerprint report.
