Base pay range

$16.50/hr - $18.98/hr

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a cheerful and marketing-oriented way; determine the purpose of callers and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to appropriate personnel.
  • Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Answer general questions about the community, provide callers with address, directions, and other information, and refer specific questions to appropriate staff.
  • Welcome onsite visitors, determine the nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate guestroom reservations.
  • Maintain current list of residents who are hospitalized and update appointment calendars, including transportation and beauty calendars, as directed.
  • Receive, sort, and route mail, maintain and route publications; distribute written communication and accept deliveries.
  • Maintain copy and fax machines, assist users, send faxes, and retrieve and route incoming faxes.
  • Create and print fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed (e.g., filing, photocopying, and collating).
  • Order, receive, and maintain office supplies.
  • Collect rent checks from residents and family members and provide information to bookkeeping for billing.
  • May drive a company vehicle from the community to social and other destinations (only if required by the community).
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification where required.
  • Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to operate telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, photocopier; ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and numerical tasks.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
