Overview
Chewy is currently seeking a Human Resources Administrator at our Dayton, Ohio Fulfillment Center. The role provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed (e.g., correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry) and acts as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR issues.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate all new hire related activities including new team member communication, on-site preparation, orientation scheduling, and assist leadership with onboarding questions and tasks as it relates to new hires.
- Conduct on-site new employee orientations to ensure understanding of benefit plans, policies, and procedures. Complete new employee I-9 forms and audits as needed.
- Complete attendance reporting, process time sheet punches and payroll adjustments to ensure accuracy of time sheets. Process shift transfer changes and updates within due dates.
- Maintain employee files, initiate drug and background screenings and conduct routine file audits.
- Write, revise, edit and proofread company policies and procedures and related documents as needed.
- Use phone, email, bulletin boards and other vehicles to communicate information. Produce the Company telephone directory.
- Assign lockers to new employees and maintain an accurate log of available lockers.
- Provide administrative support to the assigned HRBP function and local HR team. Perform other HR duties as assigned.
- Assist with, plan and implement HR and other office events.
What You'll Need
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree, major in business or human resources preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience coordinating general human resources duties.
- Must have digital literacy and the ability to learn an HRIS system (Paychex or Kronos).
- Must be proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel.
