The HR Manager (Recruitment & Employee Relations) is an on-site, full-time role based in Kissimmee, FL. It involves direct interaction with employees, managers, and leadership to support day-to-day operations and foster employee engagement. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Job Title: HR Manager (Recruitment & Employee Relations)
Pay: $65,000 annual salary
Location: Kissimmee, FL
FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt
Note: This position is on-site and requires presence in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition.
- Partner with department managers to understand staffing needs, ensure job descriptions are accurate, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring timely updates and accurate candidate records.
- Track recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, turnover) and recommend process improvements.
- Represent the Company at job fairs, hospitality schools, and community recruitment events.
- Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers on workplace matters, providing guidance on company policies, performance, and conflict resolution.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and compliance with labor laws.
- Support managers in performance management, including coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary processes.
- Promote employee engagement and recognition programs to support retention and morale.
- Maintain general knowledge of benefit programs, ensuring employees are well-informed and enrolled appropriately.
- Maintain an open-door policy and foster a positive workplace culture that reflects the organization’s values.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Partner with leadership to align HR practices with organizational goals.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment locations, and reporting protocols.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings; perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on recruitment and employee relations; at least 2 years in a management role.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing high-volume or seasonal recruitment.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions (reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling) for extended periods; capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- English language proficiency is required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Full-time position in an office setting; no remote work.
- May require evenings/weekends during peak recruitment or for urgent employee relations matters.
