Our professional services client, in partnership with CV Resources, seeks a driven HR Generalist to join their growing organization. Reporting to the HR Director, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment, values collaboration, and enjoys being hands-on across all facets of HR. The client would consider HR Manager level people as well.

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Downtown Los Angeles

Job Status: Direct Hire

Job Site Status: For the first ninety (90) days of employment, 4 days onsite/1 day remote. Thereafter, the firm has a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite/2 remote.

Compensation: $90,000/year to $110,000/year base salary, plus a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, FSA, and 401(k)).

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HR GENERALIST

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
  • Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, practices, and compliance.
  • Assist with investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee relations issues.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: job postings, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective staffing solutions.
  • Lead onboarding, orientation, and new-hire paperwork.

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS.
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Support HR compliance, audits, and reporting requirements.

Performance & Engagement

  • Support performance review and goal-setting processes.
  • Coordinate training programs, workshops, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE HR GENERALIST

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience in a professional services environment.

Preferred

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or similar).
  • Background in recruiting within legal, financial, or consulting industries.

SKILLS OF THE HR GENERALIST

Technical

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Interpersonal

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and approachable.
