Job Description
The Swatch Group U.S. is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to provide support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in HR administration, proactive recruitment (strategy), employee relations, performance management, and talent development. This is an office-based position.

Overview

This role supports the HRBP in general HR administration, recruitment strategy, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Generalist Support: Act as a point of contact for general employee inquiries; provide guidance and interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Recruitment: Develop, implement and manage recruitment strategies including finalizing job descriptions, posting, resume review and screening, interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, and notifying leadership of hiring decisions.
  • Talent Management: Track employee movement (new hires, transfers/promotions, exits); administer personnel changes, process paperwork, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Onboarding: Partner with HRBP and managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Guide employees and managers through employee relations issues, support performance improvement processes, and drive engagement initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Provide guidance to management on performance processes, coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Coordinate with payroll/benefits to track leaves, process workers’ compensation claims, and handle escalated matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in Human Resources with evidence of career growth.
  • Bachelor’s Degree; PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and HRIS systems; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff/management and work in a team environment; ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and lead change.

Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position requiring the ability to operate computer equipment, speak and hear, and to lift/move up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Additional Skill Requirements: Must be self-motivated, organized, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a team player.
