What You\'ll Do
Leave of Absence Management
- Administer federal, state, and company leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, and other jurisdictional leaves.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave process.
- Ensure timely documentation, tracking, and communication in compliance with applicable laws.
Reasonable Accommodation (ADA/FEHA)
- Facilitate the interactive process with employees and managers.
- Coordinate with managers and healthcare providers to determine reasonable accommodations.
- Maintain compliance documentation and ensure consistent application of policies.
Workers’ Compensation Administration
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, employees, and managers regarding workers’ compensation claims.
- Track claims, ensure timely reporting, and support return-to-work programs.
- Monitor injury trends and collaborate with Safety/Compliance teams to reduce risks.
Generalist HR Support
- Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Assist with orientation, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Partner with HR leadership to support compensation, benefits, and training programs.
- Maintain HR records, prepare reports, and analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support multi-state compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with additional HR projects and ad hoc assignments as needed to support the organization’s goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university required.
- 2+ years of progressive HR experience, with direct exposure to leave management, accommodations, and workers’ compensation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FEHA, state-specific leave laws, WC regulations).
- Experience supporting employees across multiple states a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust and provide guidance to employees and leaders.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite; experience with case management or leave administration tools preferred.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- Our organization follows a hybrid (remote if out of area) work structure for this role. The home offices aligned with your department at 1680 S. Garfield Ave #205, Alhambra, CA 91801, and 1668 S. Garfield Ave, 2nd floor, Alhambra, CA 91801.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $60,000 - $78,000 annually. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
