About the Role

Are you early in your HR career and ready to take the next step? We're looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented self-starter to join our HR team of three as our dedicated HR Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience across all areas of HR and grow into a true professional.

In this role, you'll

  • Take ownership of day to day HR tasks
  • Work closely with the HR Director and HR team, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR functions
  • Be trusted as the team's go-to resource for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth HR operations
  • Have opportunities to learn, contribute ideas, and expand your HR skillset as you grow your career

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Assist in conducting new hire orientations
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Update employee files in Paylocity
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives
  • Assist in driving employee engagement through communications, recognition, and retention programs
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives that align with company goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of recruiting experience
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, particularly Texas state regulations
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with Google Suite and HRIS systems (Paylocity)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
