About the Role
Are you early in your HR career and ready to take the next step? We're looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented self-starter to join our HR team of three as our dedicated HR Specialist. In this role, you'll
- Take ownership of day to day HR tasks
- Work closely with the HR Director and HR team, gaining exposure to a wide range of HR functions
- Be trusted as the team's go-to resource for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth HR operations

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Assist in conducting new hire orientations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Update employee files in Paylocity
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives
- Assist in driving employee engagement through communications, recognition, and retention programs
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives that align with company goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years of recruiting experience
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, particularly Texas state regulations
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust at all levels of the organization
- Proficient with Google Suite and HRIS systems (Paylocity)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
