Position Overview

Business Analyst

Full-time, direct hire

100% remote (however the ideal candidate would be based near New Brunswick in New Jersey)

Up to $90k base salary

Green Card holders and US citizens only

Overview

Position details for a remote Business Analyst role with the specified location preference and salary range.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and security requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with management to refine and manage the product backlog.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Conduct business analysis and gap analysis to identify areas of improvement.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate current business processes and recommend enhancements to streamline operations and increase productivity.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify that all deliverables meet customer expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Prior experience working for a Publishing company.
• Strong understanding of business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering and gap analysis.
• Strong documentation skills including writing BRDs from scratch.
• Ability to write SQL queries.
• Experience working with large datasets in a production environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Green Card holders and US citizens only.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
