Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics of Elkton is looking for a Dental Assistant in Elkton, Maryland to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Type: Part-time (Mon, Wed, Thur)

Compensation for this role is $26.00 – $28.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• No experience needed; will consider recent graduates from a formal dental school program
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
