As a member of the Information Technology team, the IT Technical Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Services Team, Distribution Centers, Company Owned Stores, and Distributor Branch employees in the use of information technology by providing support for all IT products and services including hardware, software, remote access and business applications.

Responsibilities
- Provides timely, professional, and high-quality customer service to users by responding to hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technology needs.
- Maintains documentation for all IT support calls by logging creation, assignment, disposition, and actions in the ticketing system; monitors and follows up on tickets through resolution.
- Provides first-level application troubleshooting support to internal users, including issue analysis and resolution.
- Performs preventative maintenance for operating systems and applications on PCs/laptops, including antivirus protection, backups, and updates.
- Performs antivirus administration on PCs, including evaluating log files, maintaining virus definitions, researching issues, and recommending resolutions.
- Builds and configures Windows servers as directed by the Manager to support business needs.
- Submits equipment repair warranties for PCs, printers, and peripherals; prepares and submits vendor warranty claims and related documentation.
- Cross-trains within IT for additional support to end users.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 1 year of technical higher education preferred; at least 1 year of experience in a customer service or related field; prior IT support and basic printer/peripheral troubleshooting experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of hardware and software used within the organization, including Microsoft Office applications, PCs, printers, etc.
- Working knowledge of operating systems such as Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including O365.
