Overview
RAYUS Radiology is looking for an IT Field Technical Support Specialist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm. The pay range for this position is $26.63- $38.51 based on direct and relevant experience. DailyPay is available, contingent upon initial set-up period.
As an IT Field Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing IT support and maintenance within the organization’s computing environment, including installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and other end-user equipment to ensure optimal performance. You may be involved in projects designated by business needs, including upgrades, system replacements, new locations, and moves.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnosis of system hardware, software, and reported issues/problems.
- Communicate effectively with end-users to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Create and respond to field service requests generated via the IT Service Management System (ITSM).
- Escalate complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support resources when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware components such as workstations, printers, and other equipment; collaborate with other technical resources when necessary.
- Create and maintain knowledge base documentation in the ITSM to facilitate self-service support and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure software applications are up-to-date and compatible with existing systems.
- Support and/or coordinate regular system updates and patches with Enterprise Imaging Services, System Engineer, Database and Network resources as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
- Maintain and manage recycle program of EOL equipment in collaboration with Enterprise IT Operations leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, i.e. Enterprise IT resources, vendors, and business stakeholders, to address IT-related challenges and implement solutions.
- Support new location builds or moves requests including identifying and procuring required hardware, configuration, and installation of equipment.
- Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms and imaging centers, and coordinate with 3rd party vendors and operational stakeholders as necessary.
- Act as a resource to peers and share knowledge to resolve open inquiries efficiently and effectively.
- Provide after-hours support onsite or offsite for emergencies and planned maintenance.

Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
- Four (4) years’ experience in an IT desktop support role
- Proficiency in supporting Windows, Apple and Android operating systems
- Familiarity with network configurations and troubleshooting (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Basic knowledge of server management, backup systems, and IT infrastructure
- Knowledge of data encryption, backup solutions, and IT security best practices
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Travel between sites; may require out-of-state travel (including by airplane). Reliable transportation required.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
- Experience in IT support in a healthcare or radiology setting
- A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, or other relevant IT certifications
- Experience in supporting medical imaging systems and understanding of image data formats (DICOM)
- Experience with radiology-specific software such as PACS and RIS, or similar
- Healthcare IT certifications (e.g., HIT, PACS-related)
- Experience with Epic Systems or other EHR systems
- Familiarity with VMware or other virtualized environments
- Experience with cloud-based solutions or medical image cloud storage
- Basic understanding of ITIL (ServiceNow) for incident and change management
