Base pay range $21.00/hr - $24.00/hr Position : Part-time Data Entry/Contracts Assistant (25-30 hours per week) in the Contracts department. The Karman team draws on in-house expertise in engineering & design, precision machining, large part forming, welding, heat age, finishing, assembly, ablative & insulative composites, and other capabilities to serve as a strategic partner to customers. The company is headquartered in greater Los Angeles and currently has 5 locations in Southern California and 1 location in Mukilteo, Washington. Duties & Responsibilities Accurately input and update contract terms, purchase orders (POs), supplier details, and customer records within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring data integrity and alignment with contractual obligations. Ensure all contractual data aligns with FAR/DFARS requirements and company policies. Perform regular quality checks to validate the accuracy of contract dates, clauses, pricing, and other critical information, identifying and rectifying discrepancies promptly. Generate contract status reports, PO summaries, and supplier performance metrics from the ERP system. Assist with data migrations during system upgrades or integrations. Work closely with Contracts, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve data inconsistencies, support accounts payable/receivable functions, and ensure cohesive operations. Support accounts payable/receivable teams with PO/invoice matching. Identify opportunities to streamline data entry processes for contracts and procurement. Organize and manage electronic files related to contracts and procurement, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping standards. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field is preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in contracts, procurement, or government compliance. ERP system proficiency (EPICOR, SAP, or similar); experience with contract or PO modules is a plus. Familiarity with FAR/DFARS or other regulatory frameworks (advantageous but not required). Ability to read, speak and write in English. Skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to interpret contractual terms and input data accurately. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently. Effective communication skills for collaborating with different departments. Physical Requirements Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Prolonged periods of repetitive movement may be required. Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment. Hybrid would be acceptable after training and efficiency. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Travel Requirements No travel is required.
