$25.00/hr - $29.00/hr Pops for Champagne/Watershed Bar is now seeking a part-time Floor Manager.
We are a very tight-knit team with a strong family culture. Every member is held to a high standard of work, attitude and willingness to grow their skills and knowledge.
18-24 Hours per week dependent on availability, Friday & Saturday nights required
Floor Manager Responsibilities:
Report directly to the General Manager and Ownership Opening duties include restaurant walk-through to ensure the restaurant is ready for service (assess maintenance needs, temperature control and cleanliness) Manage the floor, including touching tables, running food and monitoring the door Progress and refine all areas of service in the restaurant. Provide consistent coaching and support for all hourly employees, and possess the ability to fill into any FOH hourly position. Count, prepare, and secure the bar drawer and bank Audit daily employee punch times, ensure FOH staff adheres to time keeping procedures Closing duties include, writing daily recaps, reconcile bank, complete restaurant walk-through Assist BOH Management in the supervision of the BOH staff Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers and guests
Qualities of Potential Candidate:
customer-service oriented professional with a passion for hospitality hardworking and committed to excellence growth, team-oriented ability to manage at multiple tasks familiarity with wine service, and/or a willingness to learn more Experience in a fast paced upscale restaurant positive and enthusiastic attitude
Required Education, Experience and Documentation:
City of Chicago Food Service Manager Certificate High school diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years working in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant. Ability to identify problems and be solution-oriented in regarding service and restaurant operations. Must have availability evenings and weekends Must be able to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
