As a Commercial Construction Underwriting Associate, you will play a key role in the underwriting lifecycle, from submission to policy issuance, for both new and renewal business. Your contributions will empower our Underwriters to make informed decisions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough underwriting analysis to assess risk and determine acceptability in line with company standards. Manage endorsement requests and clarify intent with agents to ensure accuracy. Handle a designated renewal book, streamlining application processes and preparing action steps for the underwriting team. Serve as a liaison within the branch and across CNA to resolve various issues, including billing, risk control, and underwriting guidance. Document files meticulously, ensuring compliance and quality across all correspondence and proposals. Implement advanced pricing strategies on behalf of Underwriters and maintain clear documentation of pricing rationale. Prepare quote proposals and negotiate terms with external partners within your authority. Act as the first point of contact for producers and customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and account rounding. Support marketing initiatives through engagement with external partners and assist with field visits. Utilize your expertise in systems and workflows to support training and problem-solving efforts across the team. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and company strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty underwriting processes and documentation. Excellent time management, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of independent work on multiple tasks. Exceptional customer service experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
