The YMCA of Central Texas is currently seeking a professional, energetic, compassionate, and creative leader to join our team of educators as a mobile infant/young toddler Teacher! As a Lead Teacher, your focus is to develop and guide your class with enthusiasm, patience, positive guidance techniques, and an open heart.

Work schedule may be 8:30am-5:30pm or 9:00am-6:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Create a developmentally appropriate program for our students
• Develop weekly lesson plans, activities and class set-ups
• Work closely with families to encourage mutual cooperation
• Ensure the safety of all children in our program
• Complying with CCS Rising Star and Texas State Licensing Standards

Qualifications

• Experience working in a licensed childcare center
• Passionate about the development and well-being of children
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred
• Working towards a Child Development Associates (CDA) or AA in Early Childhood/Child Development preferred
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting

Pay Rate: $16.00 to $19.00/hour
