Overview
Associate Director, Reunion and Class Giving
— The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Leads programs supporting the Annual Fund with a focus on reunion and class-based fundraising. Recruits, trains, and manages volunteer fundraising committees; identifies and solicits alumni prospects; collaborates with Booth’s Alumni Engagement Team and other Advancement teams; mentors volunteers; builds a strong pipeline of donors and volunteers. Responsibilities
Identifies, cultivates, and solicits prospective donors who have the capacity to give $2,500 to $100,000+. Identifies, recruits, trains, and manages fundraising volunteers; acts as liaison for reunion committees and class-based fundraising opportunities. Works with volunteers to identify prospects in each class and supports reunion campaigns to meet fundraising goals. Maintains consistent communication with volunteers and ensures monthly giving reports are prepared and shared. Produces and submits timely call reports on visits and relevant calls. Understands plans to solicit prospective donors and meet campaign goals; speaks persuasively about the case for annual giving. Coordinates with Alumni Engagement Team and other Advancement teams on solicitations, communications, events, and programming. Identifies and qualifies prospects to refer to Leadership Annual Giving and Individual Giving Teams. Partners with Deans’ Office, MBA Program Offices, Career Services, Leadership Development Office, and faculty centers to develop programs benefiting students and alumni. Attends university events as a representative of Chicago Booth. Assists in planning and implementing programs to identify, visit, and solicit alumni, parents, and other constituencies within an assigned region to reach fundraising goals. Performs other related work as needed. Qualifications
Education : Minimum—college or university degree in related field;
Preferred —Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Work Experience : 5–7 years in a related discipline. Technical Skills : Proficiency with university systems (e.g., donor databases), Zoom, and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Competencies : Experience soliciting and closing leadership gifts; strong volunteer management, communication, organization, and leadership abilities; customer service orientation; ability to work independently and collaboratively; knowledge of the University of Chicago and its operations. Working Conditions
Travel to campus and other locations for university business. Work evenings and weekends; minimum in-office presence of three days per week. Application Documents
