Overview
Job Title: IT- Staff Systems Engineer Location: Kato Scholari, Thessaloniki, Greece Reports to: Senior Engineering Group Director Cadence hires and develops leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology. Responsibilities
You will be a key member of the enterprise IT infrastructure team, responsible for the stability, performance and scalability of mission critical Unix across the global organization. The role requires deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem solving in a high availability, large-scale environment. You will serve as an escalation point for complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will directly impact business continuity, application performance and overall IT operations efficiency. You would be a member of the Core automation team. You will be required to automate operations to manage Unix infrastructure globally. You will work on automation projects and global rollouts. Qualifications
Engineering graduate (Computer/Electronics). At least 10 years of experience in System Administration with Redhat Linux, SUSE Linux, AIX, CentOS. Experience in kernel tuning, Linux image modifications, open-source compilations. Experience in installation, configuration and administration of RHEL 4.x/5.x/6.x/7.x, SLES 10/11/12. Experience in system administration, system builds, server builds, installs, upgrades, patches, migration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of LDAP and DNS administration. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet. Solid networking concepts and hardware support experience. Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure. Collaborative, team-oriented, professional demeanor with effective written and verbal English communication skills. Additional Skills/Preferences: Working knowledge of Foreman, ELK, Grafana.
