The Sr. Counsel provides business and legal affairs support across a wide spectrum of WBD’s content distribution business, including DTC services such as CNN All Access and Discovery+, over 20 linear channels (e.g., TNT, TBS, CNN, HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel), and a broad offering of FAST channels. Your Role Accountabilities

Partner with content distribution colleagues to plan, manage, negotiate, and draft license agreements for the distribution of DTC services, linear channels (including VOD and TVE rights), and FAST channels across traditional and emerging platforms (cable, telco, wireless, social, digital). Review, critically evaluate, interpret, and synthesize existing license agreements to identify key issues, ensure compliance, and advise clients on contractual issues. Provide counsel and advice to the business and explain ramifications of proposed actions under the framework of license agreements. Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on topics such as ad sales, TNT Sports, product, technology, litigation, accounting and finance. Maintain awareness of developments in the law, regulatory environments, and technology as they relate to distribution of media content, including piracy, windowing, and packaging of content. Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 4-7 years practicing law with a national law firm or in a corporate legal department. Experience with content distribution and licensing preferred. JD from an accredited law school required. Admission to a State Bar in good standing. Strong legal transactional skills and experience negotiating, drafting, analyzing, and interpreting a wide range of contracts. Ability to research legal questions and communicate responses effectively to all levels of the company. Problem-solving ability in an efficient, business-friendly, creative manner. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to write in a well-organized, concise, and precise manner. Ability to build strong internal client relationships with personnel at all levels and advise senior-level executives to achieve client and partner satisfaction through practical and strategic thinking. High level of agility, proactive attitude, sound judgment, and ability to manage high volumes of work with minimal supervision, prioritizing multiple deadlines. Compensation & Benefits

In compliance with local law, compensation information is disclosed where required. Pay Range: $159,180.00 - $295,620.00 per year. Base pay is one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package, which may include annual bonuses, incentives, and program-specific awards.
