User Experience Researcher (Bangkok-based, Relocation provided) Agoda is an online travel booking platform offering accommodations, flights, and more. UX Researchers own end-to-end planning, execution, analysis and reporting of research projects, and consistently achieve research outputs needed by Product teams to inform strategic decisions. Demonstrates critical thinking beyond explicit business requests. Functions independently in all operational research tasks. Leads core end-to-end research activities, including driving research objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis, and communication. Qualifications
Master Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field 7+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research Experience with Qualitative and user-centered design methods (individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing, etc.) Experience with Quantitative research (metrics, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, statistical concepts) Experience in evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to a variety of stakeholders using both quantitative and qualitative data Strong storytelling and communication skills; able to speak fluently with business people, designers, engineers and other stakeholders (in English) Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, data-driven, and creative environment Knowledge of data compliance and ethics in all activities Core Competencies
Good judgement in evaluating research opportunities for importance, urgency, and impact Ability to challenge research requests and propose solid solutions Strong project execution with a willingness to expand breadth and depth of abilities Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods and triangulation of findings Application of tools to quantify the value and efficiency of research Adaptability to adopt established methods and innovate new ones in collaboration with senior researchers Familiarity with tools used for surveys, diary studies, and data analysis Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn tools common in the field Collaboration
Drives cross-disciplinary collaboration via research insights Collaborates with other researchers and disciplines with clear ownership Excellent communication skills; tailors communication to different audiences and welcomes feedback Community Contributions
