Overview
The Senior Lead Counsel I – Equities Cash and Derivatives SVP will provide transactional and advisory legal services to risk managers and business representatives within Citi’s Equities Cash and Derivatives businesses, which focuses on providing financial services to institutional clients, including hedge funds and issuers.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and regulatory guidance for equity cash trading, equity derivatives, margin loans and fund financing products, and legal advice in areas of securities laws, broker-dealer regulation, swaps regulations, margin requirements, security interests and insolvency law.
Apply familiarity with equity cash trading and derivatives, including financial and operational aspects of both markets.
Negotiate, draft, and analyze transaction agreements.
Coordinate among various groups in a large, complex organization, and with external parties.
Convey complex concepts in a straightforward, understandable manner orally and in writing.
Ability to work collaboratively with a proactive mindset.
Requirements
5-10+ years of experience
Banking/financial industry experience or experience from a big law firm
Comprehensive knowledge of US laws and industry practices
Proven analytical and organizational skills
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education Bar license in good standing to practice law

Primary Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary Range: $211,280.00 - $316,920.00
