Pharmacy Technician – Pharmacy on the Park (Oviedo, FL)
Job Overview
Pharmacy on the Park is a locally owned and operated independent compounding and retail pharmacy located in Oviedo, Florida. We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about personalized patient care, enjoys working in both sterile and non-sterile compounding, and thrives in a team-oriented environment that values accuracy, integrity, and service. Duties & Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with preparation, packaging, and dispensing of medications, with a strong focus on compounded formulations. Compound medications using proper technique, including aseptic technique for sterile products and precise measurement for non-sterile preparations. Maintain detailed records for Master Formulation Records (MFRs) and Compounding Logs in compliance with USP and state board requirements. Deliver exceptional service by communicating clearly with patients, providers, and veterinary clients about medication questions, usage, and pickup or delivery. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and medication records. Monitor and manage inventory for APIs, excipients, and prescription stock; assist in ordering and restocking as needed. Operate specialized equipment including repeater pumps, capsule machines, unguators, ointment mills, and laminar flow hoods. Participate in ongoing quality assurance and cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and compliant lab environment. Qualifications Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred; compounding or sterile lab experience is a plus. Strong understanding of pharmacy calculations, medical terminology, and good documentation practices. Familiarity with USP
