Stable Industry – A long-term career in food and transportation Your Role: Transport Refrigeration Mechanic As a Transport Refrigeration Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing refrigeration systems on transport vehicles. You'll play a key role in keeping our fleet operating efficiently and safely, ensuring our products stay fresh from field to table. What You'll Do: Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems on transport vehicles Repair or replace components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and motors Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical connections Install new refrigeration units according to specifications and industry standards Conduct performance tests and fine-tune units for optimal temperature control Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to complete tasks efficiently Maintain accurate documentation of all repair and maintenance activities Follow safety protocols when working with refrigerants and electrical systems Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices What You Need to Succeed: High school diploma or equivalent required
Vocational or technical training in refrigeration preferred
Experience as a Transport Refrigeration Mechanic or in a similar role
Proficiency with refrigeration unit diagnostics and repairs
Understanding of electrical systems, refrigerants, and controls
Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
