We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality food service in our facility, ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety, sanitation, and customer service, while working collaboratively with the dietary department to enhance the dining experience for our residents. Duties Serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation practices during food handling. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, bussing tables, and cleaning equipment. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meal times and addressing any dietary concerns or requests. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure that residents' specific dietary needs are met, including those related to health conditions or personal preferences. Participate in regular training sessions related to food safety, dietary regulations, and culinary skills enhancement. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred. Background in the food industry or culinary experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and dietary guidelines is essential. Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff. Experience working in a dietary department or as a Dietary Aide is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
