Company Description BMOR Development Group is a Dallas-based company known for creating timeless homes and estates in the DFW Metroplex area. We specialize in new construction, luxury custom home construction, home renovations and development. Role Description This is an Independent Contractor Position for a Residential Construction Operations and Purchasing Manager role located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Operations/Purchasing Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage purchasing activities, estimating and ensure the smooth execution of construction projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Negotiate pricing and agreements with vendors/contractors; periodically adjust labor rates as necessary. Establish pricing and costs to be used in the estimating process of projects. Perform estimating and takeoffs on construction plans. Review bids to ensure accuracy. Assist in facilitating the set-up of all new projects by setting labor rates making vendor selections and documenting in BuilderTrend software system. Coordinates with the Construction Manager or Superintendent in identifying, investigating, and resolution for any project-related problems that may arise. Responsible for the invoicing system including client and vendor; receivable and payable. Create, process and expedite purchase orders and change orders to the field and clients. Oversee material order process and communicate with field staff on coordination of subcontractor workflow Creation of schedules and other systems to track progress timelines and financials of projects. Will include some onsite visits to local projects Adheres to all company policies and procedures and reports to the president of the company. Qualifications 5 years plus experience in purchasing and estimating within the construction industry. Experience with BuilderTrend is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of estimating and purchasing principles as well as residential construction practices and materials. Must be able to read blueprints. Experience with Quickbooks Effective negotiating skills. Demonstrated computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office and Excel. *This is an independent contractor position and does not offer benefits at this time.
