Job Details
Responsibilities
Oversee the full scope of accounting and financial reporting functions establishing and maintaining an effective departmental structure to meet strategic and operational objectives.
Direct the preparation and distribution of monthly GAAP-compliant financial statements, inclusive of management summaries, departmental breakdowns, and variance analyses.
Optimize cash returns and manage banking activities to minimize financial risk.
Monitor and communicate the organization's financial health by gathering, evaluating, and presenting key financial metrics.
Compile and deliver special reports by researching, analyzing, and interpreting data trends.
Lead, coach, and guide accounting staff, fostering performance through mentoring, training, and performance management.
Manage the flow of information to external auditors during the year-end audit process.
Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal reporting obligations, including tax compliance.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis in support of major initiatives, operational issues, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA Preferred
2+ years management experience
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with SAP is preferred.
