We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in facilitating effective communication between suppliers and internal departments while contributing to the overall success of our purchasing strategies. Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages. Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements. Utilize our ERP System (Prophet 21 by Epicor) for tracking orders and managing inventory. Monitor logistics and supply chain activities to enhance efficiency. Skills Proficiency in ERP systems. Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain management principles. Experience in procurement processes Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Ability to analyze data for informed decision-making in purchasing activities.
