Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Body Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in auto body repair, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to efficiently restore vehicles to pre-accident conditions. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, safety awareness, and teamwork in a fast-paced, high-volume production shop.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural and non-structural repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including frame straightening, panel replacement, dent repair, and welding.
Accurately follow repair orders, OEM procedures, and insurance guidelines.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify damage and ensure complete, safe repairs.
Work with estimators and production staff to review damage assessments and repair plans.
Ensure all repairs meet Golden Isles Collision Center's quality standards and industry best practices.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with shop safety protocols.
Participate in continuous training, including I-CAR and OEM certifications.
Collaborate with team members to meet cycle time goals and deliver vehicles on schedule.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a collision/body technician
Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, metal finishing, welding, and plastic/composite repair.
Familiarity with measuring systems, frame equipment, and aluminum repair processes is preferred.
I-CAR certifications or willingness to complete training toward I-CAR Gold Class status.
Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical manuals, and OEM procedures.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
