Job Description: Classic Settlements, a well-established real estate title company, is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Virginia Settlement Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience overseeing residential and/or commercial real estate closings, reviewing title abstracts, assisting processors in coordinating and working directly with all parties as needed. Our attorneys also conduct continuing education classes, attend marketing events and work to generate new business as well as service our current clientele. Key Responsibilities: Manage and conduct real estate settlements/closings for residential and/or commercial properties. This includes out-of-office closings in the MD/DC/VA area, with a concentration on Virginia closings and expanding our Virginia presence. Review title reports, clear title issues, and assist processors in coordinating with lenders, agents, and clients Review closing disclosures, ALTA statements, and files for accuracy throughout the settlement process Provide legal guidance to clients regarding real estate transactions and compliance Ensure all aspects of transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations Work closely with processors to produce timely and accurate closings Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Virginia 2+ years of experience in real estate settlements preferred (will consider strong entry-level candidates with relevant internship or clerkship experience) Knowledge of contracts, title insurance, RESPA, and other real estate regulations Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills Ability to handle multiple closings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment What We Offer: Competitive compensation with higher salary and/or bonus structure contemplated for portable business Benefits package Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional development and growth Impressive offices and modern closing technology How to Apply: Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and your salary expectations Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100, $130,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
