Overview
Family Law Attorney Opportunity at a mid-sized law firm. This is a permanent position to contribute expertise in family law within a thriving practice. Location: Seattle, WA. Salary range: $110,000 - $160,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive legal advice and strategy to clients on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, adoption, and more.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, orders, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting family law practice.
Provide compassionate and empathetic support to clients during difficult times.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent service.
Participate in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and professional associations.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Current license to practice law in WA.
Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law.
Proven experience handling a diverse caseload of family law matters (divorce, child custody, domestic violence, adoption, etc.).
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic client support.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with clients, court personnel, and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Commitment to professional ethics and integrity.
