The Global Cybersecurity (GCS) Senior Cyber Security Solution Architect is responsible for defining, communicating and enforcing cyber security requirements and overall architecture throughout all phases of the services, products and platforms lifecycle. The architect drives informed risk-based decisions regarding controls that maintain integrity, visibility, compliance, and resiliency. The senior architect also contributes to the design and implementation of cyber security standards used across the organization, following confidentiality, integrity, availability, and defense in depth principles. The architect reviews and documents security requirements, design decisions, risks, and mitigations for each system and application.

This role requires a balance of technical expertise and organizational acumen, with the ability to influence stakeholders and make strategic decisions. The role is part of the Global Cyber Security function and the Cyber Security Architecture and Engineering team and reports to the Senior Manager of Cyber Security Solution Architecture.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement advanced cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry best practices and company goals.

Conduct comprehensive architecture reviews to identify security gaps and proactively address them.

Collaborate with senior business leaders to integrate security into projects and processes, protecting information systems.

Contribute to strategic planning for the cybersecurity department, managing risks and defending against evolving threats.

Advocate for secure-by-design and secure-by-default principles and influence adoption across teams.

Approve and ensure the production of architecture artifacts, security models, and design patterns.

Improve visibility of business risks by conducting threat modeling, mapping controls, and performing risk assessments.

Stay current on emerging technologies, evolving threats, and industry trends to proactively shape and strengthen the security strategy.

Conduct architecture assessments and ensure compliance with frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with equivalent experience accepted.

6+ years in information security, with at least 2 years in an architecture role.

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF (preferred), or equivalent.

Proven experience designing security for cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.

Technical expertise in multiple domains such as: identity and access management, data protection, encryption, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), Dev/Sec/Ops, application security, platform security, endpoint security, IoT security, OT security, network security, or zero-trust architectures.

Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and translating them into enforceable enterprise standards and measurable outcomes.

Experience in an Agile environment with Scrum processes; familiarity with JIRA and Confluence preferred.

Demonstrated results reducing risk and security technical debt while accelerating delivery.

Strong communication and influence skills; ability to simplify complexity for less technical leaders, guide distributed teams and resolve conflict.

Excellent written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate information from multiple sources; diligent problem-solving ability.

Ability to research issues, solutions, and technologies, translating them into roadmaps and leadership materials.

Ability to understand business challenges, drive process improvements and translate into solutions.

Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating uncertainty.

Ability to elevate others and build a culture of belonging through high-performing teams.

Compensation and Benefits Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $149,260 - $190,310 per year. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Pay may also consider experience and other job-related factors.
