We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager of Operations to oversee our production planning, supply chain and logistics for our wholesale business, ensuring seamless execution from raw materials sourcing to final delivery at our taprooms, distributors, and retail partners. Position Overview
The General Manager of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for Ballast Point’s wholesale operations team. This individual will manage the people, processes, and systems that ensure raw material availability, product quality, inventory control, logistics, and order fulfillment. The successful candidate will combine strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to lead a team, build partnerships, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team responsible for procurement, logistics, inventory management, quality assurance, and fulfillment. Establish clear goals, metrics, and accountability across all functions. Supply Chain & Procurement: Oversee sourcing and purchasing of raw materials and packaging to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and continuity of supply. Negotiate supplier and copacking agreements to support business needs. Production & Quality Assurance: Manage the brewing team to ensure quality standards are consistently met internally and with our contract manufacturers. Build and manage all contract manufacturer relationships. Inventory & Logistics: Manage logistics operations to achieve service and cost objectives. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to taprooms, distributors, and retail partners. Manage operational budgets, monitor costs, and ensure efficiency across the supply chain. Oversee reporting, invoicing, and analytics to provide visibility into performance and opportunities for improvement. Strategic Planning: Align supply chain operations with sales forecasts and long-term business goals. Drive process improvements, technology adoption, and operational scalability. Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, preferably in the brewing, beverage, or food manufacturing industries. Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams. Proven expertise in planning, logistics, supply chain optimization, and vendor/contract management. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and reporting. Proficiency with inventory management and ERP systems.
