Our client is an established PE-backed franchising platform, dedicated to acquiring and accelerating the growth of premier business and consumer services-oriented franchise systems. The mission is to apply franchising best practices and leverage a proven shared services infrastructure to enhance franchisee profitability and success across a diverse portfolio of brands. About the Role This position leads Corporate Development for the Company as it looks to continue its expansion, specifically focused on supporting a proactive M&A strategy. This role will report into the CEO and focus on proactive deal sourcing, including identifying expansion markets, evaluating acquisition targets, and building relationships with potential sellers. Responsibilities
Lead the Company’s corporate development and M&A sourcing function Develop and execute a strategy for sourcing and evaluating acquisitions that drive sustainable growth and strengthen the Company’s competitive position in new and existing markets Develop and build tools, dashboards, and frameworks to prioritize, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities and drive deal flow Identify/qualify acquisition opportunities, initiate communication, and facilitate the development of relationships between the Company and potential targets Build and maintain an active pipeline of M&A opportunities by developing and nurturing relationships with acquisition targets via shared networks, direct outreach, brokers, and other sourcing strategies Perform deal evaluation, analysis/modeling, due diligence, and deal presentations Coordinate the collection of due diligence data in conjunction with third-party advisors Assist with drafting of deal documents, including letters of intent Collaborate with the CEO and Sponsors to define and refine the platform’s brand acquisition thesis for external positioning and ensure strategic alignment Qualifications
5+ years of experience in M&A (investment banking, private equity, corporate development) or other deal sourcing capacity, preferably in the franchising space Knowledge and understanding of how to develop strong, trust-based relationships – especially with founders and management teams of franchised businesses Proven strategic, growth-oriented mindset and track record of driving growth through acquisitions Proven self-starter with demonstrated success operating in a high-growth environment High EQ and trust-building skills with employees at all levels, including senior-level executives and founders Able to leverage data and analytics to draw insights and provide actionable recommendations Able to effectively “sell” the Company and articulate the Company’s differentiated shared services value proposition to potential sellers Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly; experience in writing and presenting internally and externally Seniority level
