Solver Developer - Physics AI startup - $100M+ in funding
Saragossa, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199
Overview
Solver Developer at a physics AI startup with substantial funding. This AI startup is redefining how engineers design physical systems by combining large-scale cloud simulations with machine learning. You’ll design, implement, and optimize high-performance solvers that power their cloud-native simulation platform. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize high-performance solvers for industrial-grade CFD and multiphysics simulations. Collaborate with the cloud-native simulation platform team to improve solver performance, scalability, and numerical methods. Develop production-grade code in modern C++ (C++17+), MPI, CUDA, and Python; apply turbulence modeling and conjugate heat transfer techniques. Balance scientific rigor with shipping quickly in a fast-paced startup environment; communicate clearly and collaborate with teammates. Qualifications
PhD in Computational Physics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. At least five years of CFD development experience. Strong skills in modern C++ (C++17+), MPI, CUDA, and Python. Expertise in turbulence modeling, conjugate heat transfer, and numerical methods. Location & Compensation
The team works onsite in San Mateo five days a week. Compensation is $180,000 to $240,000 base, plus meaningful equity and benefits. Relocation can be supported. Apply
No up-to-date resume required. Want to build solvers that put AI into the loop for the next generation of engineering? Let’s talk.
