Overview

Director, Event Technology II (DET II) at Encore for Four Seasons Seattle. The DET II is responsible for achieving revenue and profitability goals at the assigned location(s), delivering World-Class service, and cultivating relationships with venue personnel to enhance the business relationship with the venue. The role manages venue revenues between $900k and $3.75M and reports to the Area Director, Venues or RVP, Venues. Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting

– Drive results by managing an efficient and profitable operation with a focus on revenue maximization and profitability using cost control measures in accordance with company SOPs. Achieve Encore’s financial goals by effectively managing labor, equipment sub-rentals and other costs. Understand and utilize operational and financial reports and complete standard and ad hoc reports on time. Utilize the Company billing system to coordinate invoicing activities and ensure billing is reviewed and approved by clients. Complete sales forecasts at the home location and ensure accuracy and timely submission. Participate in business review presentations in collaboration with regional management. Review and manage location P&L and develop action plans to address deficiencies or grow the business. Confirm venue partners process all payments to Encore in a timely manner. Operations Management

– Perform daily floor operations including scheduling, equipment setups, operation, and strikes. Assist on the floor as needed. Ensure all equipment and services are delivered on time, in good condition, and per client and venue specifications and brand standards. Anticipate equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner. Use inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels while ensuring safety, security, and quality assurance of equipment. Share labor and equipment efficiently within the local market. Attend operational venue meetings such as daily stand-up meetings with venue operations staff. Sales Management

– Collaborate with Regional Sales Director to create sales strategies to maximize revenue per event, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that convey Encore’s value and address customer challenges. Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers from various sources. Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support the customer event experience. Collaborate with vendors and other departments to service events. Understand event cost structures and incorporate into designs according to profitability guidelines. Engage in customer meetings, understand goals, and respond to questions and concerns. Ensure customer information is up to date in the CRM system at all times. Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology for meetings and events. Create and present information and reports related to performance, pipeline, forecasting, etc. as needed to senior management. Customer Service

– Deliver World-Class Service by cultivating relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore support functions. Oversee personnel to assist with event execution as needed. Exceed expectations of internal and external customers. Meet with guests on site to confirm needs are met and equipment is working properly. Monitor small to mid-size events and check in on customers throughout the day. Enforce guidelines to portray a polished and professional image. Technical Ability

– Understand and oversee technical aspects of the job; perform basic to advanced troubleshooting and guide technicians to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Utilize applicable company computer systems. Act as on-site technical expert as needed for events. Assist on the floor with operations as needed. People Development

– Promote a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement; manage performance and staffing; facilitate team development; provide coaching; and train employees on Encore standards and computer systems. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. 3+ years of audio-visual experience. 2+ years of operations/supervisory experience. 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred. Sales experience is a plus. Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in live show environments. Proficiency with computer hardware and software (Microsoft Office). Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus. A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate company vehicles. Competencies

Salary Pay Range: $80,902.00 - $99,105.00. Final compensation based on location, experience, and skills. Some positions may include overtime, bonuses, or incentives.
