The resort integrates resort-owned vacation rental homes, large-scale water features, and extensive recreational infrastructure. The eight-acre Evermore Bay lagoon includes advanced water treatment, circulation, and safety systems that require continuous monitoring. Two championship golf courses, numerous pools, water sports facilities, and a wide range of amenities, including pickleball courts, event spaces, and dining venues, further enhance the offerings. If you're excited to help guests reimagine the Orlando vacation, join us Become part of an energetic team bringing Evermore Orlando Resort to life Position Summary: The resort painter is responsible for safe and proper tool usage, tool care, site preparation, color matching, surface preparation and applying paint or other coatings and finishes according to manufacturer's specifications to furniture, walls, ceilings, steps, stairs, floors, fences, signs, concrete or any other coatable surfaces in order to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the resort ensuring that the resort's facilities are well-maintained and visually appealing for our guest. Key Responsibilities: · Responsibilities will also include drywall installation and repairs achieving up to level 5 finishes as well as various textures such as knock down, orange peel etc. · All work will be performed in a professional manner and all work areas must be kept clean and presentable as per resort standards. Drywall Repairs: Measures and cuts drywall panels to fit in and around specific spaces such as doors, windows, electrical outlets, and lighting fixtures. Installs drywall panels to wood or metal studs. Uses drywall compound to fill in and cover joints, screws, nails, and other imperfections to prepare surface for paint or other finishes. · Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming them before applying paint or other finishes. This includes repairing any cracks, holes, or imperfections in the surfaces to ensure a smooth and even finish. · Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, stain, or other finishes to surfaces such as walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, and exterior structures. Use appropriate techniques, brushes, rollers, or spraying equipment to achieve desired results. · Color Matching: Work with color samples, swatches, or specifications to match and mix paint colors accurately. Ensure consistency in color throughout the resort and maintain color records for future reference. · Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with paints, chemicals, and equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper ventilation in painting areas to minimize health risks. · Maintenance and Repairs: Inspect painted surfaces regularly and perform touch-ups or repairs as needed. Maintain an inventory of painting supplies and equipment, and report any maintenance or replacement needs to the appropriate department. · Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, housekeeping, or interior design, to ensure timely completion of painting projects. Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet quality standards and project deadlines. · Quality Control: Monitor and assess the quality of finished painting projects to ensure they meet the resort's standards and guest expectations. Make necessary adjustments or corrections to achieve the desired outcome. · Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of paint colors, finishes used, and areas painted. Keep track of material consumption, project timelines, and any relevant documentation required by the resort. · Greet all guests and fellow team members as you see them. Speak politely and assist them as needed, making sure to answer all questions and providing appropriate directions. Respond in a courteous manner to all questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure complete satisfaction. Education, Skills, and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalentwork experience. · Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and co-workers. · Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment. · Strong knowledge of painting techniques, color mixing, and surface preparation. · Familiarity with various types of paints, stains, varnishes, and finishes. · Proficiency in using painting tools and equipment, such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and ladders. · Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. · Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting. · Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations. · Excellent time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines. Physical Requirements: · Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds. · Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically. · Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
